WPXI 'AA' Band of the Week
Posted 10/16/09Congratulations to all band members! Your hard work and dedication had us voted WPXI's 'AA' Band of the Week for two years running! Thank you to everybody who voted for the South Allegheny Marching Band. Our half-time homecoming performance as recorded by WPXI can be watched on their website.
Plan Ahead: Band Camp 2010
Posted 10/5/09The dates for next summer's band camp are Monday, July 26 through Friday, July 30 and Monday, August 2 through Friday, August 6. Camp runs from 8 AM to 4 PM every day. There are several after-camp rehearsals including August 10th, 17th, and 19th. See the downloadable schedule for the exact times for those days.

The Festival was a blast playing in and watching... The Alumni was a great thing to have to celebrate 40 years, couldn't have had a better choice for 40!

I was a participant in the Alumni Band, and I had a blast doing it. It was so nice to see everyone and catch up with old friends. It brought back so many good memories from when I was in Band. It was also nice to see Mr. Fisher and Mr. Riffle together. And last but not least, it was great hearing Blair Wojton announcing again. Good luck present band members in Disney World.

It was so much fun to watch the current SA Band perform and most of all seeing the Alumni Band perform. Both groups were just AWESOME!!! I could not march this time with the Alumni Band, but if they ever get together again, I will definitely be there with them! It was great seeing Mr Fisher on the field again! Congrats to both Mr. Riffle & Mr Fisher. on a job well done!!
