South Allegheny High School Band

Alumni

This year marked the 40th Anniversary of the South Allegheny Band Festival, and to commemorate this event we formed a new Alumni Band to perform at the festival.

Members of this group traveled from all over the country from Mississippi, Maryland, North Carolina, Kentucky, New Jersey, Virginia, Minnesota, and as far as Texas to celebrate the Band Festival's 40th anniversary.

The performance was a success and all of the alumni held up well! The band performed the Star Spangled Banner and South Allegheny Alma Mater, as well as four songs later in the program: Carry On My Wayward Son, The Horse, Children of Sanchez, and Land of 1000 Dances.
