Being a former band member, I'm so glad I got to see the band festival this year. My little sister Taylor is a majorette this year. I hope that she stays with it through the rest of high school and gets to make as many friends and memories, good and bad, as I did. Band was one of the best things I did when I was in high school. I was also excited to hear about the Alumni Band that will be forming! Hopefully more people are as excited as I am. Congrats to all and keep up the good work, and have a good year!

As always, I love watching SA's Band. No matter how many times I've seen the show, I always pick up something new I missed before. I wanted to let you guys know that when SA's Band started, I heard many folks (mostly Hempfield parents) comment on how great we sound! As always your perfomance was awesome. Being a former band member myself, it always gives me great pleasure to sit and watch SA no matter where they perform! Mr Riffle does an AWESOME job putting shows together! I'm so proud now to be a SA Band Aunt! My niece Erica is in the Color Guard and I'm so proud of her! I hope she continues to stay in band for the remainder of her high school years! I wanted to commend you on a terrific performance at Steel Valley. I have been involved with competitve marching bands for the past five years (as a parent at Woodland Hills) and, as a "pit dad" (moving the equipment), I get to hear quite a few things from both judges and instructors. The first comment that I heard, shortly after you started the show, was "WOW! They put out a GREAT sound for a band of their size." Further, your behavior, as a group was exemplary (both on and off of the field). In short, while the district is busy looking for achievements to be proud of, they need look no further than the band. WELL DONE!!!!!
