Fundraising

Each student is given a sufficient opportunity to raise all of the funds necessary for participation in the mandatory Band Trip and a possible off-campus Band Camp. Fundraising is not required, but is encouraged; students always have the right to pay outright the cost of the Band Trip.

Students will be told in advance the expected profit of the fundraiser — typically 40% or higher — and will also be able to track their accumulating fundraising totals on a posted Master List in the band room or online.

Enjoy Coupon Books 2011

Order forms for the Sarris Easter Candy sale are available in the band room.

We are selling Enjoy Books for 2011. The cost is $27 per book. The profit is dependent on how many total books the Band sells:

  • 1-99 Books and the profit will be $7.00 per book.
  • 100+ Books and we will make $10.00 profit per book.

This is a pre-paid fundraiser. The books will be in soon and we will give the students their books when they turn in their paid order forms. Promotional flyers and additional order forms are available in the Band Room. We will continue the sale until the end of September.

Kidstuff Coupon Books

We will also be selling Kidstuff Coupon Books this Fall. The cost is $25 per book. Profit is $12.50 per book, and for every 5 books you sell you will receive 1 book FREE. Orders may be turned in anytime between now and the end of September. You will receive your books at the time you place your pre-paid order.

Band Parent Fundraisers

Strip Tickets

Strip Tickets are an ongoing monthly Band Parent fundraiser that support the ENTIRE BAND and lessen your price for Band Camp, Disney, etc.

To request tickets, contact Debbie Swank via email (deb42357@aol.com) or telephone: 412-672-0084.

Tickets go off the last Friday of every month. Winners are based on PA Lottery 7 P.M. Drawing.

Win $150 if you have the winning number, or if your winning number is a Bonus Number which is listed on the back of the ticket, you can win $500, $1,000, or $5,000!

Types of Fundraisers

Student - Profits made from a this type of fundraiser go into the individual's account.

Band Parent - Profits go into a general fund. These fundraisers are just as important as, if not more than, Student fundraisers, because they help to drastically reduce the cost that each student must raise individually.
